Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Preliminary assessment on Geo-Technical problem concerning mining operation
- Verified geological pit mapping and data base
- Geo Technical drilling plan for find out subsurface conditions by follow up sort term and long term mine planning.
- Evaluate Geo-Technical material properties testing results and material dig ability study for equipment selection on mining operation for overburden removal
- Study on groundwater condition, which effect to mine slope stability and actual mining operation and equipment, including comment and solution
- Evaluation Geo-Technical material properties testing results and groundwater condition to design pit slope by using Geo-Slope office suite software program.
- Study on Geo-Technical foundation for construction mine facilities, i.e. mine office, camp site, store, hauling road, bridge, dam, crushing plant, and port, etc.
- Check pit slope stability and dump slope stability, which effected to mining operation, i.e. pit slope failure, including correct pit slope design chart for mining operation safety and economically.
- Coordinator with mining operation to solve the problem in the critical area.
- Develop and upgrade Geo-Technical skill to Geo-Technical staff
- To proceed following QSE activity and company policy
Requirements
- Degree in / Geology / Geo Technical /Mining
- At lease 5 years in open pit coal mining
- Experiences in coal mining feasibility study project
- Knowledge and able to manage and administer in organization
- Mining softwares; MineScap, Primavera, SurPac, Medsystem&Minesight or Mincom, Geo-Slope/W, and Auto-cad.
- Good command of English written and spoken
- Knowledge in rock/soil mechanics, coal modeling and groundwater modeling.
